Multimodal transportation
Multimodal transportation is an effective logistics solution that combines various modes of transport (air, road, rail, and sea) to deliver goods worldwide. We develop optimal routes while reducing costs and shortening delivery times.
Within multimodal transportation, we offer the following services:
- FCL (Full Container Load). Transporting goods with a full container load is a fast and secure method where the entire container is used by one shipper. This approach eliminates transshipments, reduces cargo damage risks, and shortens transit time. It’s ideal for large quantities of goods requiring maximum protection and optimal shipping conditions.
- LCL (Less than Container Load). This option is perfect for shipments that don’t fill an entire container. By consolidating multiple clients’ loads into one container, we reduce transportation expenses. This flexible solution allows efficient management of small-volume freight without overpaying for unused space.
- Combined Transport Multiple types of transport in one shipment. Combined multimodal transport leverages the advantages of different transport methods (sea, rail, road, air). For example, we can deliver three 20-foot containers from China to Riga port by sea and then transfer them onto a single covered wagon for onward delivery, significantly cutting client logistics costs. Alternatively, we could move goods from Uzbekistan to Mersin port by truck and re-load them into containers for further sea transport.
When organizing multimodal cargo transportation, we optimize both timing and cost, taking care of all documentation and coordination at every stage. This reliable and economical solution works best for long-distance international shipments.
